The Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management is a comprehensive qualification tailored for seasoned site managers with extensive experience, typically spanning over 5 years, in the construction sector. This qualification is designed to assess the practical skills and knowledge of individuals who are responsible for managing large construction sites and projects. Key responsibilities of these site managers include overseeing daily construction operations, ensuring health and safety standards, guiding teams to complete projects within set timeframes and budgets, and more.

The NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management assessment evaluates a candidate’s proficiency in various areas such as project cost control, health and safety awareness, work program development, site layout planning, environmental protection procedures, and quality control measures. Candidates are expected to provide evidence of their hands-on experience and expertise in these areas, showcasing their ability to manage and execute tasks effectively in their site management roles.

This qualification is recognized by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and is designed to be a work-based assessment, meaning there’s no need for classroom attendance. The assessment can be conducted remotely using various tools like videos, photos, and online meetings. Once qualified, individuals can apply for a CSCS card, which is a testament to their skills and knowledge in the field of construction site management.
